Claire Heese-Boutin
Claire is an Ecological Economist by nature and self-described Citizen Developer, focused ways technology and systems can improve wellbeing. Claire is a Certified Financial Planner who has worked closely with individuals around personal finance while also interfacing with software developers to create a Quality of Life data tracking platform. Needless to say, Claire is a Project Management whiz who brings structure (and reality) to any set of ideas, always bringing the focus to process and budget. Claire is a native English & French speaker (with working proficiency in German & Haitian Creole), and a translator of sorts, speaking the language of ideas and action both, holding the space for each in brainstorming sessions, while also having good grasp on the softer elements of a project. She is always thinking about accessibility. It is important to Claire as a black queer woman to promote accessibility for all. In her spare time, she does things writing the Community Wealth Building Report for the Parkdale People’s Economy, which examined in-depth how financial capital and impact investing can support priorities at a community level. Korbett Mosesly
Korbett specializes in driving positive change through evidence-based strategies for public well-being. With his deep-rooted commitment to community development, equity, and social justice, he brings demonstrated expertise in transforming communities and advancing the Human Services sector.
He is skilled in leading and supporting projects that make a tangible impact. His ability to develop research and policy frameworks allows him to craft effective solutions tailored to the unique needs of each community. Through thought leadership and subject matter expertise in economic stability programs, he has a proven track record of successful project directorship and mentorship, empowering individuals and organizations to thrive.
He firmly believe in the power of anti-racism, diversity, equity, and inclusion. By integrating these values into his work, Korbett ensures that his solutions promote equitable outcomes and inclusivity for all. His comprehensive approach encompasses a wide range of Human Services areas, addressing crucial challenges such as child welfare, education, employment, and programs supporting families with low incomes.
Jeff Klein
Jeff gave himself the title “Wellbeing Ecosystem Strategist” because he enjoys helping agencies and orgs in the social purpose sector to think through all of the pieces, approaches, and stakeholders needed for a community to achieve a baseline of a good quality of life.
He considers himself to know a little bit about a lot of things, and a lot about a few things. For example, his experience building and scaling financial coaching programs, integrating financial coaching into multiple sectors, and partnering with financial institutions to deliver low-cost financial products qualifies him for his 10,000 hours of expertise, but in his career he has also focused on multiple social purpose interventions and concepts that inform the foundation of a wellbeing ecosystem, including workforce development, housing programs, entrepreneurship, Social Determinants of Health, emergency food systems, newcomer support efforts, youth programs, impact investing, housing development, education, land trusts, and more.
Jeff is an American living in Toronto. Born and raised in Baltimore, he has lived in Washington State, Oregon, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut. He holds a Master’s in Public Administration from the University of Oregon.
Jacques Colon
Jacques has worked as a Climate Policy Analyst for the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) in Washington, D.C., and as the Health Equity Coordinator for the Tacoma-Pierce County (WA) Health Department. He currently works as the Strategic Manager for the City of Tacoma. He has expertise in Public Health, Health Equity, Social Determinants of Health, Climate Change and Health, Racial Equity and Social Justice, Municipal Government (Budget, Processes, etc.), Affordable Housing, Long-Range Planning and Growth Strategy and Strategic Planning. Jacques spent his childhood living in many places because of his journalist parents, including Columbia (MO), Miami (FL), Port-Au-Prince (Haiti), Baku (Azerbaijan), and Washington, D.C. From early on, he has been fascinated by how cities and countries choose (or not) to create the conditions for equity and opportunity for all. Jacques has a Masters of Science in Environmental Sciences and Policy from Johns Hopkins University.
Tanisha Jumper
Tanisha is the Director of Communications, Strategy and Engagement for the City of Tacoma which includes oversight of TV Tacoma responsibility for the Tacoma 2025 City-wide strategic plan and vision implementation plan. She is a skilled facilitator, collaborator and creative thinker.
Prior to her return to the PNW in 2015, Tanisha served as the Senior Vice President, Community Impact for United Way of the Greater Dayton Area for 7 years. In that role, she led United Way’s efforts to provide quality health and human service programs, develop collaborations, strategies and initiatives that served Montgomery, Greene and Preble Counties in Ohio. She supervised United Way’s community engagement activities and special programs, including HelpLink 2-1-1-, United Way’s Volunteer Connection, and Public Policy efforts.
Tanisha holds a Bachelor’s degree in political science from Wilberforce University in Wilberforce, OH (go Bulldogs). She is a Rotarian, mentor for Palmer scholars, board member of United Way of the Pierce County, Graduate Tacoma, Northwest Furniture Bank, and advisory member of Big Brother Big Sister of Pierce County.
